Playgroup

Children are tiny adventured always ready to explore, full of curiosity and potential. They are inquisitive learners who thrive when provided with the right environment and experiences.
Our Play Group program is focused on providing a stimulating environment where children learn by doing. The program runs for 2.5 hours, five days a week Children develop social awareness, independence through sensory, creative, social, physical, and cognitive engagements.

Day in the Life

Start of the day

  • Welcome and Free Play

    Toddlers are welcomed into a theme-based decorated classroom with creative art works hanging. The natural sunlight in the toddlers classroom make them feel at home. Welcome & free play is designed for children to setlle down in the class.

  • Circle Time

    Circle time is time where children engage in yoga, exercises, singing rhymes, storytelling and playing with loose parts to brain storm on unit of the month.

  • Station Time

    Station Time is planned by educators based on the theme of the month. 3 to 4 activities are laid down which are basically focused on enhancing sensory & fine motor skills of the child. Activities that focuses on art & design, music, pretend-play are planned in this time.

  • Sensory or Outdoor Play

    During this time, toddlers are involved in all kind of outdoor activities which promote physical development.

  • Snack time

    Snack time is a time started with the prayer and where educators promote self eating and healthy food habits.

  • Reflection Time

    Closing time is an opportunity for educators to recall the behavior and reactions of each child to the activities that were planned in the day followed by the good bye song. These reflections are shared daily with the parents. It is an opportunity for the parents to share their feedback.

Play Group Learning Spaces

Sensory Gym

The sensory gymnasium is the combination of many open-ended equipments which involve twisting, turning , rolling , jumping, running, balancing and hopping. It is every child’s favourite space at Holakids. Children strengthen physical skills here.

Outdoor Play Spaces

Nature plays a very important role in holistic development of the child at early years. From a very young age, children are curious to understand how nature functions.
Our school is designed in a way that there is abundant natural light and fresh air at all times of the day. From sand pits to gardening stations, our outdoor areas promote physical growth, curiosity, and a strong connection with nature.

Art and Design Station

The art and design station allows children to engage with a wide range of tools and materials to explore textures and create expressive arts and crafts. Children explore a range of art tools such as paints, stamps, sponges. They also explore natural materials like clay slurry, leaves and branches, and natural colours from plants.

Sensory Station

Interactive walls, sensory tables as well as natural, synthetic, and montessori materials are a part of this station. This activity gives an opportunity for children to express their emotions and interests. This part is designed to develop a child’s connection with the real world. This station includes activities which enhances listening skills, touch and feel senses and smelling and tasting experiences of the child.

Block Station

Class is equipped with child-friendly, wide-variety of blocks of different sizes, shapes, and textures. The station encourages children to think and be curious and recreate their thoughts and interpretations of the world. The space features lego blocks, spiral blocks, tube blocks, tangrams, 3D and 2D puzzles, foam blocks, magnetic blocks and much more.

Storytime Station

At our story corner toddlers has an access to their age appropriate books, ranging from texture books and picture books. Educators read aloud the stories which help children enhance their vocabulary.

Pretend Play Station

Pretend play helps children to understand their world around them and they enact their thoughts into actions. This station is furnished with proper furniture as in child friendly kitchen, shop, hospital or a restaurant. Here children enact scenarios based on their imagination and experiences.

Music & Movement

Here children experiment with making sounds by shaking, banging materials. They slowly understand loudness, tempo, and basic rhythm which further enhance cognitive development.

Physical & Emotional Well-being

  • Outdoor Play : Connect with nature and enhanced learning through outdoor exploration.
  • Sensory Play : Stimulate senses and spark curiosity through hands-on exploration.
  • Yoga & Mindfulness : Promote calm, focus, and well-being through yoga and mindfulness practices.
  • Music & Movement (Also supports physical development) : Improves coordination and emotional expression.
